Jordan Brand has revived the Airship in the last few years.
The nearly forgotten silhouette worn by His Airness before the Air Jordan 1 has been the focal point for the brand with in-line colorways as well as collaborations with New York staple Awake NY the latest retailer to spin the model.
Angelo Baque — the Awake founder who spent a decade at Supreme as its Brand Director — is approaching the Airship with a vintage feel as a white upper is met with mismatched red and royal blue details with a snakeskin pattern on the respective collars. Additionally, a silver Swoosh, sail midsole, translucent outsole, and Awake’s signature “A” etched onto the lateral sides complete the colorway.
Release details on the Awake NY x Jordan Airship are unknown at the moment. The pair is anticipated to release later this year at AwakeNYClothing.com and possibly on SNKRS.
